Morocco Unveils Plan to Transform Melilla into Nightlife and Casino Hub

The president of the Chamber of Commerce of Nador, Abdelhafid Aljarroudi, presented to about twenty students from the University of Granada campus in Melilla on a visit to the city, Morocco’s project to set up casinos and nightclubs in the autonomous city.
Abdelhafid Aljarroudi insisted on the occasion "on the project of a Melilla with hotels, nightclubs, casinos, restaurants, everything that concerns nightlife," confided to El Español Juan Antonio Marmolejo, dean of the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of the University of Granada campus in Melilla.
Aljarroudi had already informed the former president of the Melilla Chamber of Commerce, Margarita López Almendáriz, of this project to turn Melilla into a tourist city that could benefit Moroccans from Nador and its surroundings as well as foreign tourists.
Melilla has the potential to become "a city of nightlife," assures the president of the Nador Chamber of Commerce, adding that the objective of this policy is to encourage Melilla businessmen to invest in Morocco. "Today, there are more facilities to invest in Morocco," he said.
"They are interested and have their arms open to welcome all kinds of Melilla companies, especially in the Nador region," Marmolejo confirmed.
