Morocco Unveils Employment Support Plan for Hard-Hit Restaurant Sector

To support restaurateurs who have been severely impacted by the coronavirus health crisis, the monitoring committee has developed several contracts for various sectors. That of the restaurant sector takes into account the period 2021-2022 and aims to secure employment.
This program contract was signed by representatives of the public sector (Ministries of Finance, Industry, Tourism and Labor) and those of the private sector (CGEM and Federations of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Services. It aims to guarantee employees their employment after several months of inactivity.
It proposes four main measures, including a flat-rate monthly net allowance of 2,000 dirhams, the deferral of social security contributions, the extension of the exemption from income tax on salary supplements for employees declared to the CNSS, and social coverage.
