Morocco U23 Faces Ghana in Crucial AFCON Qualifier Match
The Moroccan under-23 team will face their Ghanaian counterpart today to secure a place in the semi-finals. After an initial success against Guinea in the inaugural U23 AFCON tournament, the Atlas Cubs are ready to take on Ghana tonight at the Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat.
Yesterday, in a press conference, Issame Charaï, the coach of the Atlas Cubs, unveiled his plan to counter the Ghanaian team. Despite a reduced preparation time, his team, he said, is well prepared, analyzing the rapid offensive of the opposing team and identifying a few weak points to exploit.
The importance of the first minutes of play has not escaped Charaï. The Moroccan coach hopes that his players will be able to quickly overcome their inhibitions, emphasizing the importance of countering the speed of the Ghanaian team and its strength on the wings. A call to the public has also been made to give the necessary strength to the players from the start of the match.
Charaï spoke with humility, insisting on respect for the opponent. "We are not to be considered the best. We need to work harder to strengthen our assets and increase our confidence," he said, promising an engaged and strategic encounter.
