Morocco and Mali Clash in U23 AFCON Semi-Final with Olympic Spot at Stake

The Moroccan under-23 team will face their Malian counterpart in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations. The match is scheduled for tonight at 9pm (Moroccan time) and 10pm in Europe at the Stade Moulay Abadallah in Rabat.
This match is crucial not only to reach the final, but also to secure a place in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The players led by Issam Charaï, after an excellent performance in the group stage, will have to face the formidable Malian Eagles, who finished second in Group B, following their victory over Niger last weekend.
Buoyed by their third consecutive victory against Congo last Friday, the young Moroccans have reached the top of Group A. They have accumulated 9 points, scored 8 goals and conceded only two goals. This more than satisfactory record will have to be confirmed tonight against Mali at the Moulay Abdellah complex in Rabat. The spectators will surely be present in large numbers tonight.
As for the other semi-final, it will oppose Egypt to Guinea, the winners of these matches also winning their place for the Paris Olympics.
