Morocco’s U17 Women’s Team Dominates Niger 11-0 in World Cup Qualifier

The national women’s football team (U17) easily defeated their Nigerien counterparts, Monday at the municipal stadium of Berkane, with a very wide score (11-0) in the first leg of the second round of the (African zone) qualifiers for the U17 Women’s World Cup.
The eleven goals of the Lionesses of the Atlas were scored by Ouafae Bentahri (19th), Salma Senhaji (26th), Awatif El Ghazouani (31st), Lina Jamai Mokhtari (32nd, 34th, 42nd, 45th+1, 90th+4), Ines Aboucharif (51st), Siham Bouhouch (55th) and Sara Dofry (90th). The return leg between the two teams will take place on Friday at the municipal stadium of Berkane. The coach of the Lionesses of the Atlas, Younes Rabie, has called up twenty-four players for this double confrontation.
In April 2022, the Moroccan U17 national team had beaten their Nigerien counterparts, in Niamey, by the same score (11-0) in the first leg of the third round of qualifications for the World Cup (India 2022). The eleven goals of the Lionesses of the Atlas had been scored by Sherif Digna (9th, 54th, 66th and 78th), Doha El Madani (20th and 30th) Yasmine Zuhair (45th, 60th and 74th), Khelifi Maisen (88th) and Siwi Yasmine (92nd).
