Morocco U17 Women’s Team Dominates Algeria 4-0, Eyes FIFA World Cup Berth

The Moroccan U17 women’s national football team achieved a clean sweep by convincingly defeating Algeria (4-0) on Friday at the Berkane stadium. This victory puts the Moroccans in an excellent position to qualify for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic.
From the start, the Moroccans took control of the game. Inès Aboucharif opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, followed by Dina Haizoun just before half-time (41st). The second half was no exception to Moroccan dominance, with a goal from Ouafae Bentahri (51st) and an own goal (58th) that sealed the final score.
With this success, the Moroccans approach the return leg, scheduled for May 17 in Algiers, with a considerable advantage.
If the Lionesses confirm their victory in the return leg, they will secure a historic qualification for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. A first for Morocco in this competition.
