Morocco Dominates Algeria 8-0 in U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers

The U17 Lionesses of the Atlas have had a flawless run in the qualifiers for the 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup. After crushing Algeria 4-0 in the first leg in Berkane, the Moroccan women confirmed their dominance in the return leg by winning the same score (4-0) at the Salem Mabrouki Stadium in Algiers.
As early as the 6th minute, C. Boughazi opened the scoring for the Lionesses, launching a match that ended in Moroccan domination without sharing. L.M. Jamai stood out by scoring a brace (62nd, 79th), while D. Haizoun sealed the score in the 76th minute.
Thanks to this crushing victory, the Lionesses of the Atlas qualify for the final round of the qualifiers, where they will face Zambia. The match, scheduled for next June, will be the final obstacle before securing the precious ticket for the U17 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in the Dominican Republic from October 16 to November 3, 2024.
It should be noted that no Algerian channel broadcast the match between the two teams as originally planned. Undoubtedly the fear of seeing the Algerian team lose in front of its public!
