Morocco’s Tech Ecosystem Grows, Drawing Silicon Valley Comparisons

According to a specialized Spanish magazine, Morocco is positioning itself as the "future Silicon Valley". And how?

"Morocco is positioning itself as the future Silicon Valley," notes the specialized Spanish magazine "Paradavisual" in an article titled: "Morocco, the new Silicon Valley," while specifying that the kingdom has a rapidly expanding startup ecosystem. As an example, innovative Moroccan startups that have a positive impact on the national economy.
Several factors are behind this technological momentum. First and foremost, it is the quality of the national education system "which produces the talent and skills necessary for the digital economy," but also the introduction of a series of reforms to create a favorable environment for investment, particularly foreign investment, and thus strengthen its technological ecosystem. Morocco offers tax incentives to technology companies. Other no less important factors: the availability of technological infrastructure such as Internet connectivity and data centers.
For the magazine, Morocco must meet a number of challenges, including access to financing and strengthening specialized skills, as well as exploring opportunities generated by artificial intelligence, precision agriculture, and renewable energy, in order to consolidate this growth and build a sustainable technological future.
