The heat wave that has been affecting several regions of Morocco for a few days continues with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees.

According to the National Meteorology Directorate, the heat wave will affect this Tuesday, May 5, the interior plains, the Souss, the Oriental, the Southeast and the South of the country. On the coasts and the Atlantic and Mediterranean plains, low clouds are expected in the morning and at night with foggy formations.

In the morning, the minimum temperatures recorded will be around 8 to 14 degrees on the Atlas mountains, 20 to 27 degrees on the South of the Oriental, the plains of Tadla, the interior of Souss, the Southeast and the interior of the southern provinces and 14 and 20 degrees elsewhere.

These temperatures will rise sharply in the afternoon where it will be between 23 and 28 degrees on the Atlas mountains, the Mediterranean, the Tangier region and the Atlantic plains, 28 and 36 degrees on the Oriental, the Saiss, the Rif, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the interior plains, the Souss, the Southeast and the West of the southern provinces and between 36 and 42 degrees on the extreme Southeast and the interior of the southern provinces.
