Morocco Stunned in 3-2 Friendly Loss to Zambia, Atlas Lions Struggle Continues

Many goals scored this afternoon at the Grand Stadium in Marrakech, where Morocco faced the Zambian team in a friendly match. The two teams parted ways with a score of 3 to 2. A disappointing result for the Moroccans and another failure, therefore, for the "Atlas Lions".

The Moroccan players had barely set foot on the pitch when they conceded the first goal, in the first minute. It is signed by Musonda Mwape who currently plays in the South African championship.

Probably surprised by this first goal, the Moroccans put pressure on their opponents until the relief, in the 24th minute, with a goal from Hakim Ziyech. While the two teams were going to finish the first half with a 1-1 draw, Kings Kangwa douses the Moroccans in the 44th minute of the game.

From the start of the second half, the Moroccan players put pressure again and it pays off in the 54th minute of the game, with Morocco’s equalizer, following a penalty. It is transformed by Hakim Ziyech, who is decidedly the player of the match.

And it’s not over yet as the Zambians, very focused on this game, don’t let go and score their 3rd goal in the 74th minute. It is signed by Enock Mwepu, a player who plays in the Bundesliga with the "Red Bull Salzburg" team.

It should be noted that the coach of Morocco made several changes today (El Ahmadi, Saïss, Fajr, Benatia).

This is Morocco’s second defeat after the one a few days ago against Gambia. Let’s hope it’s just a bad patch and that the players will pull themselves together for the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN).
