Morocco’s Star Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou Attracts Interest from Top La Liga and European Clubs

Yassine Bounou could leave Seville this summer. Several La Liga clubs would be ready to secure the services of the Moroccan goalkeeper who has been left on the bench since the arrival of José Luis Mendilibar.
Villarreal, Valencia and Real Sociedad, three La Liga clubs, are interested in Yassine Bounou, reports Mundo Deportivo, specifying that other major European clubs such as AC Milan, AS Roma, Leeds and West Ham would also be ready to recruit the 32-year-old Moroccan goalkeeper.
Villarreal is looking for a new goalkeeper to replace Rulli, who was transferred to Ajax in the January transfer window. Even if the Madrid native Pepe Reina is in great shape, he is 40 years old and his contract expires at the end of the season, which leads the club to express its interest in Yassine Bounou.
Valencia also wants to secure the services of the Moroccan goalkeeper, but on condition that it manages to sell Mamardashvili this summer. The 22-year-old Georgian’s contract runs until 2027 and has a 100 million euro clause. Real Sociedad, for its part, wants to recruit Bounou to strengthen its team and compete with Osasuna.
