Morocco-Spain Trade Hits New High: Exports Surge 14.6% to €7.3 Billion in 2021

In 2021, Morocco exported around 7.3 billion euros to Spain, up 14.6% compared to 2020, according to data published by the Spanish embassy in Rabat.
More than 7 billion euros in exports to Spain. For its part, Morocco imported the equivalent of 9.5 billion euros from the Iberian country, up 29.2% compared to the previous year. All these data represent respectively 3% and 2.1% of Spain’s global share of exports and imports.
The same source specifies that the curve of trade exchanges between the two countries has been on a positive trend since 2016, but with a slight decline in 2020 with exports to Spain reaching 6.37 billion euros (compared to 6.96 billion euros in 2019) while imports amounted to 7.35 billion euros (compared to 8.45 billion euros in 2019).
