Spain Exports $16 Million in Military Equipment to Morocco, Report Shows

Morocco bought various defense materials from Spain for 14.9 million euros in 2021, according to a report by the Spanish Secretary of State for Trade on defense equipment exports.
In 2021, Spain delivered various military vehicles to Morocco, the report accessed by Infodefensa indicates. In detail, the kingdom bought defense equipment for 14.9 million euros, including spare parts for Spanish-made transport aircraft, mortars, 91 transport vehicles (11.7 million euros) as well as consumables for the repair of tank tracks, the report specifies.
Last year, Spain mainly exported defense equipment to France (654.3 million), the United Kingdom (527.9 million), Germany (432.6 million) and the Netherlands (407 million). For the second consecutive year, Australia is Spain’s best non-NATO and EU customer, with 278 million euros, followed by Saudi Arabia (109 million) and the United Arab Emirates (73.7 million).
In Latin America, Spain exported to Peru (24 million), Brazil (15 million), Chile (4.8 million) and Mexico (4.7 million). As in previous years, aircraft account for 63.4% of exports for 2.87 billion euros.
