Morocco, Spain, and Portugal Launch Historic Joint Bid for 2030 World Cup

Morocco, Spain and Portugal have announced their joint candidacy to host the 2030 World Cup. A historic announcement made by King Mohammed VI during the presentation of the CAF Excellence Award in Kigali, Rwanda.
This candidacy, unprecedented in the history of football, will be "that of the junction between Africa and Europe, between the north and south of the Mediterranean, and between the African, Arab and Euro-Mediterranean worlds," declared the Sovereign in a message read by the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa.
The King also stressed that this candidacy will be that of the union between the strengths of each country and the demonstration of an alliance of genius, creativity, experience and resources. Morocco, which had already tried to host the World Cup five times, could finally have its chance with this tripartite candidacy.
