Morocco’s Social Security Fund Streamlines Procedures, Cuts Red Tape for Benefits

The National Social Security Fund (CNSS) is implementing the law on the simplification of administrative procedures and formalities. It has announced that it has revised the list of documents to be provided as part of the procedures related to the registration of employees, the affiliation of employers, collection, medical coverage, social and family benefits, as well as for the issuance of certificates.
In this regard, it has been decided not to require certified copies and legalized signatures. Also, the certificate of life or residence is no longer required. It is replaced by a sworn statement regarding the certificate of inactivity, family support and non-marriage.
In the event of the insured’s death, a copy of the succession deed is required instead of the certificate of non-divorce of the spouse, sole wife or polygamy. In the absence of these documents, the CNSS only requires a sworn statement.
For more information, the Fund invites its clients to consult its website cnss.ma or contact its call center "Allô Damane" on the numbers 0 802 007 200 and 0 802 033 333.
