Morocco Streamlines Bureaucracy: 22 Administrative Documents Eliminated

Moroccans have been exempt since early April from about twenty documents deemed non-essential for administrative service, according to a circular from the Ministry of the Interior.
A total of 22 administrative certificates have been removed from the administrative circuit and replaced by a sworn statement, according to a circular sent by the Directorate General of Local Authorities to the Walis and governors of the various regions and provinces of the kingdom, as well as to the presidents of the municipalities.
These documents, which for the most part attest to a given situation or fact, were requested in administrative procedures even though no regulatory provision actually required it. They are now replaced by sworn statements. These include the marriage certificate, the individual life certificate, the collective life certificate, or the single marriage certificate, the polygamy certificate, etc.
In the wake of the decision to remove documents, the administration has launched a unified, integrated and multi-space information interface that makes administrative information available to the user. This reform is part of the policy of facilitating administrative procedures.
