Morocco: snow, showers and gusts of wind at the beginning of the week

The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has placed several provinces of Morocco such as Sidi Bennour, El Jadida, Berrechid, Safi and Essaouira on orange alert at the beginning of the week.
A start to the week under bad weather. The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) forecasts locally heavy thunderstorms, snowfall above 1,500 m, as well as strong gusts of wind on Monday and Tuesday in certain provinces of the kingdom. These locally heavy thunderstorms (20-35 mm) are expected this Monday from 8am to 1pm in Sidi Bennour, El Jadida, Berrechid, Safi and Essaouira, the DGM indicates in an orange level alert bulletin.
The phenomenon will also occur this Monday from 12pm to 8pm, in the provinces of Azilal, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Fquih Ben Saleh and Al Haouz. These showers will be accompanied by snowfall (15-30 cm) which will affect, on Tuesday from 9am to 11pm, the provinces of Azilal, Béni Mellal, Al Haouz, Taza, Ifrane, Sefrou, Khénifra, Midelt, Ouarzazate and Tinghir, the same source specifies.
The DGM also announces that strong gusts of wind (75-90 km/h) with dust storms in places are expected on Tuesday from 12pm to 11pm in the provinces of Bouarfa, Errachidia, Nador, Midelt, Tinghir, Figuig, Taourirt, Guercif, Zagora, Ouarzazate and Oujda.
