Morocco is counting on its tourist assets, at the Madrid International Tourism Fair (FITUR), to take advantage of the market of 84 million tourists visiting Spain.
The Madrid International Tourism Fair, launched this Wednesday, is considered one of the most important in the world in terms of tourism, reports l’Économiste. This particular event is seeing strong Moroccan participation, with representation from all regions of the country, the same media indicates. To this end, more than 200 Moroccan operators have made the trip and all regions of the kingdom are represented in order to show their multiple facets to Spanish tourists, as well as to all those visiting Spain.
Since its first edition, the kingdom has always participated in all editions of the FITUR in Madrid. The objective is to establish contacts and conquer new markets. To this end, the Moroccan stand highlights the main assets of the country (nature, beach, desert, history, culture and security).
According to the same media, Morocco intends to attract at least part of the 84 million tourists who visit Spain each year. If the Spanish tourist (2.5 million visit the country each year), who considers Morocco as his favorite destination outside Europe, is highly sought after, the Moroccan authorities also intend to attract Russian, Chinese, Brazilian and American tourists who transit through Spain.
