Morocco Sets Zakat Al Fitr at 13 Dirhams for Eid 2020

The amount of Zakat Al Fitr has just been announced by the Moroccan religious authorities, and more specifically by the Supreme Council of Ulema (CSO).
For the year 1441-2020, the amount of zakat has been set at a minimum of 13 dirhams per person, and this in all regions throughout the kingdom, indicates the Supreme Council of Ulema in a notice.
The amount of Zakat has been assessed taking into account the differences in the prices of cereals. The council explains that in order to facilitate the zakat to the believer and taking into account the public interest, the jurists have authorized the issuance of the value in cash whereas originally it was given in cereals.
This amount is the same as last year, and slightly lower than two years ago (15 dirhams).
