Morocco Set to Receive Advanced Abrams A2 Tanks from US, Boosting Military Capabilities

Faithful to the American Abrams tank, Morocco is about to receive new state-of-the-art American tanks (Abrams 2). Military equipment that will allow it to cope with regional instability.
The Royal Armed Forces (FAR) will soon receive "new batches of American Abrams A2 war machines," "modified according to the specifications requested by Morocco," announced the FAR Maroc forum on its Facebook page. Designed by the American group General Dynamics, the Abrams tank is considered one of the most renowned and powerful in the world. It has been used in several wars, including the second Gulf War and the war in Afghanistan. It is a classic product since 1979 which has been declined in many versions: M1A1, M1A2, M1A2-SEP, among others.
To recall, the kingdom had acquired 222 Abrams A1 tanks from the United States for more than $1 billion in 2012, then 162 Abrams M1A2 tanks for $1.25 billion. It also has "M1A1-SA (Situational Awareness) tanks, the basic M1A1 model, refurbished to zero hours/zero kilometers and modernized to reach the equivalent level to the latest models currently available".
