Morocco Seeks Strong Finish in Final CAN Qualifier Against Burundi

Morocco is playing its last match counting towards the qualifiers for the 2022 CAN Cameroon this Tuesday. The Atlas Lions will face the Swallows of Burundi, at the Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat. For this last home game, the Moroccan public expects its players to put in a performance worthy of the name, far from the one delivered against Mauritania.
Vahid Halilhodzic’s protégés will have to show their superiority, and that they did not finish leaders of group E by chance. Burundi is in search of qualification and will want to beat the Atlas Lions on their own turf.
Since they returned from Nouakchott, the Moroccan players had a training session on Saturday afternoon. The group was divided into two: those who participated in the match in Mauritania and those who were substitutes. On Sunday, the entire group trained for an hour and a half and Vahid Halilhodzic focused on the technical and physical aspects.
On Monday, the two teams had separate training sessions on the pitch of the Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat. First the Moroccan team and then the Burundi national team trained on the same pitch, as the regulations provide.
