Morocco Seeks Chinese Expertise in COVID-19 Fight, Strengthens Diplomatic Ties

Morocco and China maintain their relations, despite the health crisis shaking the world. The Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, during a telephone conversation with his Chinese counterpart, thanked China for "its sympathy" towards the Moroccan people and "the support" it has shown since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi had telephone conversations on the COVID-19 epidemic on Friday, March 20, with the Foreign Ministers of Hungary, Greece and Morocco.
The Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs did not fail to notify during this telephone conversation that China is "a reference for the international community in the fight against the pandemic". He added that "Morocco is eager to learn from the Chinese experience in terms of epidemic prevention and control and looks forward to strengthening exchanges and cooperation with Chinese medical experts".
China is beginning to heal its wounds after being hit hard by the virus. Since Friday, it has no longer recorded any cases of local contamination.
