Morocco Seeks CHAN 2022 Quarterfinal Spot with Win Against Rwanda

Despite a rather unimpressive start to the competition, the Moroccan national team of local players is considering qualifying for the second round of the African Nations Championship. It plans to win the match this Friday against Rwanda.
On Monday, Morocco snatched its first victory by beating Togo 1-0. Houcine Ammouta’s protégés intend to give their all to keep the cup in the Moroccan camp. As defending champions, Morocco measures the magnitude of the challenge it faces.
This Friday, the local players are ready to take on Rwanda at the Reunification Stadium in Douala. The match between the two teams will be broadcast live at 8pm on BeIn 2 and officiated by the refereeing quartet composed of Mauritian Ahmed Heeralall, Nigeriens Samuel Pwadutakam and Abdoul Aziz Moctar Saley, and Ghanaian Daniel Laryea.
Coach Houcine Ammouta said during the press conference held after the match against Togo that he was "confident in the players’ ability to shine in the upcoming matches," noting that the important thing in these first group matches is "to collect the three points of victory."
