Morocco Seeks Advanced Israeli Weapons Amid Tensions with Algeria
In crisis with Algeria, Morocco wants to order more formidable weapons from Israel to, if necessary, launch strikes against enemy targets.
After acquiring Israeli drones and other advanced weapon systems, Morocco is seeking formidable Israeli weapons. According to Israeli sources, the kingdom is requesting more "formidable" systems to launch strikes against enemy targets and is interested in the Elta ELM-2084 radar, which is part of the Rafael Iron Dome air defense system.
The ELM-2084 is a family of mobile 3D AESA ground-based multi-mission radars. Manufactured by ELTA, a subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries, this radar is capable of detecting high and low flying targets, tracking, classifying and generating a real-time air situation picture of all aerial targets such as low radar cross-section platforms.
