Morocco’s Royal Makeover: King’s Visit Sparks Urban Renewal and Social Progress

The services of the prefecture of the province of Mediouna have been active since Saturday to prepare a warm welcome for King Mohammed VI, who is expected in Tit Melill and in the commune of Sidi Hajjaj Oued Hassar.
The authorities of Mediouna worked through the night from Saturday to Sunday to finalize the layout and beautification work on the streets and sidewalks and repair the public lighting on the roads that the king and his entourage are expected to take.
This Sunday, the services of the communes of Tit Mellil and Sidi Hajjaj were at work to refresh the paint on the sidewalks in order to reserve a warm welcome for the Sovereign. The Moroccan sovereign is expected in the region soon to inaugurate social projects in Sidi Hajjaj, as well as the highway entering the city of Tit Mellil, the capital of the province of Mediouna.
King Mohammed VI is also expected to lay the first stone next Tuesday for the construction of the regional reception, rehabilitation and reintegration complex for people with mental and psychological illnesses in the commune of Sidi Hajjaj. This complex will be added to the Dar Al Khair complex for the care and reception of the homeless and people with mental illnesses.
