Morocco Retains African Nations Championship Title with 2-0 Victory over Mali

Defending champion, Morocco has won the African Nations Championship (CHAN) for the second consecutive time, thus becoming the first selection to defend its title. It dominated Mali (2-0) in the CHAN 2020 final.
The Atlas Lions defeated the Malian Eagles in the CHAN 2020 final. The match ended with a score of 2-0 at the Ahmadou-Ahidjo stadium in Yaoundé. In the 69th minute, on a corner from the right, Soufiane Bouftini opens the scoring with a header for Morocco.
The Eagles redouble their efforts but are surprised by the Moroccans. On another corner, Ayoub El Kaabi, top scorer and best player of CHAN 2018, doubles the lead with a close-range header in the 79th minute of play. The score (0-2) remains unchanged until the end of the match.
The Atlas Lions thus win the CHAN 2020 after dominating this final phase, with 5 wins, 1 draw, 15 goals scored and 3 conceded. A new victory for Morocco two years after its triumph at home.
