Morocco Reports Over 11,000 Quranic Schools, 36,000 Students in Traditional Education

A publication from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs provides an update on the students and traditional educational institutions, spread throughout the Kingdom.
Published under the title "Statistics of traditional educational institutions", the work provides precise information on the evolution of traditional education in Morocco.
Thus, the Kingdom has 289 traditional educational institutions, which accommodate 36,531 students. As for the number of Koranic schools, it should be noted that it amounts to 11,478, with 327,272 registered students of all ages.
In addition, there are some 2,253 Quranic learning centers throughout the Kingdom. These accommodate a total of 114,215 students of both sexes, according to the same source.
These are all information, it is affirmed, which denote the remarkable dynamism prevailing in traditional education within the Kingdom.
