Morocco Reports 50 New COVID-19 Deaths, Total Fatalities Rise to 3,255

Morocco has recorded 50 deaths due to the coronavirus. The number of people who have succumbed to Covid-19 in the Kingdom since the beginning of the epidemic now stands at 3,255, with a fatality rate of 1.7%.
In detail, the Casablanca-Settat region is still sadly in the lead with 17 deaths in 24 hours, including 14 in Casablanca and 3 in El Jadida. In the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, 9 people were killed by Covid-19. While Salé and Kenitra recorded 3 and 2 deaths respectively, Skhirate-Témara and Sidi Kacem each recorded 1 death, with 2 for Khémisset.
Fès-Meknès recorded 6 people who succumbed to Covid-19, with 2 deaths in Fès and Taza. Sefrou and El Hajeb each recorded 1 death. In the Marrakech-Safi region, 4 people died, including 1 in Marrakech, 2 in Youssoufia and 1 in Rehamna. Like Marrakech-Safi, Beni Mellal-Khenifra recorded 4 deaths, including 2 in Fquih Ben Salah and 1 each in Khénifra and Azilal.
It is followed by the Souss-Massa and Oriental regions, each with 3 deaths. In Souss-Massa, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Taoudant and Tznit each recorded 1 death, while Berkane recorded 2 and Taourirt 1 in the Oriental region.
In Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, two people also succumbed to the coronavirus, one in Tanger-Assilah and the other in Larache. In Darâa-Tafilalet, there was one death in Midelt. As for Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, it recorded one death.
On Friday, October 23, 2020, Morocco recorded a sad record of 73 deaths in 24 hours.
