Morocco Reports 138 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Rises to 9,977

For the 3rd consecutive day, Morocco is experiencing a sharp increase in coronavirus infection cases. This is what the Ministry of Health has just indicated in its 6 pm report. Thus, the Kingdom records 138 new cases, bringing the total to 9,977 since the beginning of the epidemic.
Here are the details of the contaminations:
• Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra: +37
• Marrakech-Safi: +34
• Casablanca-Settat: +31
• Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma: +15
• Fès-Meknès: +13
• Rabat-Salé-Kénitra: +6
• Béni Mellal-Khénifra: +1
• Guelmim-Oued Noun: +1
The cases reported in the Laâyoune region, in Tarfaya exactly, are all illegal migrants from sub-Saharan Africa. Some of them who managed to reach the Canary Islands have tested positive for Covid-19.
Despite this worrying increase, the Moroccan authorities are maintaining the deconfinement schedule.
