Morocco to Repatriate 600 Citizens Stranded in Melilla, COVID-19 Screening Planned

The Moroccans blocked since March 15 in Melilla will finally be able to return to the country. They will first be subjected to systematic covid-19 screening upon arrival in Nador.
During this operation, jointly managed by the province of Nador, the delegation of the Ministry of Health and the national security services, the Moroccan nationals will be confined in several hotels in the city.
The three public authorities have been working for several weeks to put in place the necessary arrangements to welcome the 600 Moroccans who were living in camps outside the autonomous city.
In this regard, Nasser Bourita, the Moroccan Foreign Minister, had announced during a session in the Moroccan parliament that the repatriation of the 22,000 Moroccans stranded abroad would take place shortly.
