Morocco Reopens Beaches with Strict COVID-19 Restrictions in Place

In order to comply with the circular of the Minister of the Interior, the wilaya of the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region has decreed that access to the beaches of Tétouan, Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Fahs-Anjra and M’diq-Fnideq, located in the provinces of zone 1, will be supervised, as of this Thursday, June 25.
Thus, the beaches concerned will be open between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., in compliance with health measures, in particular social distancing, in order to avoid the spread of the new coronavirus. A minimum of 3 meters must separate the parasols to be installed on these beaches, the entrances of which must be spaced 2 km apart.
In the same vein, vacationers are invited to travel with their personal parasols and to avoid gatherings of more than four people. They must also wear masks at all times, whether they are walking, exercising or relaxing on the sand.
