Morocco Reopens Airports with Enhanced Health Measures for Tourists

This is a set of measures that have been deployed to provide a healthy, reassuring welcome and a "healthy" journey for passengers, the office said in a press release, ensuring that with these measures, the absolute priority is to preserve passengers, staff and all airport users and to accompany this operation under the best possible conditions, by adapting airport infrastructure to the new health context.

The main elements of this system concern both the departure and arrival areas through the strengthening of cleaning operations in airport facilities, the installation of hand sanitizer dispensers at various points in the airport, the installation of plastic screens at check-in desks, the mandatory wearing of masks by passengers and all airport users, in all airport areas, and the application of physical distancing measures, through floor markings, the reorganization of queues to avoid crowding of passengers.

ONDA will also implement body temperature measurement of passengers, with thermal cameras installed in the arrival area, and its teams will be responsible for ensuring that passengers’ health forms, previously made available to them by the authorities concerned, or printed via the office’s website, are properly filled out.

The Office will also, through regular audio announcements, accompany all the measures of this operation with awareness messages on compliance with social distancing instructions and barrier gestures. Screens displaying these instructions and information panels are also planned in all the Kingdom’s airports. Similarly, these messages will be broadcast on the various social media accounts and the office’s website.
