Morocco to Reopen for International Film Productions in February, Boosting Local Industry

After several cancellations and postponements, due to the closure of borders, foreign film shoots in Morocco will resume as early as February 5.
According to the sources cited by Maghreb-Intelligence, foreign film actors and technicians will be able to return to the kingdom to shoot or continue interrupted productions.
However, this announced resumption remains dependent on the improvement of the epidemiological situation in Morocco and in the world, the media points out, adding that until then, several officials have expressed their optimism about the reopening of borders.
"We have received the authorizations to resume filming as of February 5, but it will still depend on the authorities who are evaluating the epidemiological situation," said a source within a foreign production company.
This announcement is already delighting producers and cinema professionals, but also the "little hands", inactive for months, in several cities like Ouarzazate.
