Morocco Releases 2023 Tax Guide for Expatriates, Opens Dedicated Support Centers

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) has just unveiled its tax guide for the year 2023 for Moroccans residing abroad (MREs).
This detailed document covers a wide range of areas, including registration fees, VAT, income tax, and tax refunds for non-residents, to name a few.
In addition, the DGI also announces the opening of reception offices specially dedicated to MREs during the months of July and August. These will be located in various regional, provincial, inter-prefectural and prefectural tax departments throughout Morocco.
The DGI also offers Moroccans around the world a Telephone Information Center, which can be reached at 05 37 27 37 27.
