Morocco Releases 2021 General Tax Code: Key Updates for Businesses and Individuals

The 2021 CGI consists of a first book grouping the rules of assessment, collection and penalties in the matter of Corporate Income Tax (IS), Income Tax (IR), Value Added Tax (VAT) and Registration Duties (DE).

As for the second book, it is related to tax procedures and includes the rules of control and litigation of the aforementioned taxes. It also relates to other duties and taxes.

The third book is devoted to stamp duties, the annual special tax on vehicles (TSAV), the social solidarity contribution on profits and income, the social solidarity contribution on self-deliveries and the tax on insurance contracts.
