Moroccan Coffee Giant Bacha Opens Flagship Store on Paris’ Champs-Élysées

In Paris, Bacha Coffee, the renowned Moroccan brand, has opened its first European flagship store on the Champs-Élysées.
Bacha Coffee is setting out to conquer the European market. On Thursday, the famous Moroccan institution, born in Marrakech in 1910 within the Dar el Bacha palace, opened its first European flagship on the most famous avenue of the French capital, the recently rehabilitated block of over 12,000 m2 that connects the famous Parisian artery to rue de Ponthieu. The 1,500 m2 store offers 200 different coffees, "sourced from great plantations around the world," emphasizes Taha Bouqdib, CEO of the group that has 31 establishments worldwide, speaking to Le Parisien. The businessman dreams big: he intends to develop the brand in Europe – with openings coming soon in London and Italy – and establish a presence in all major world capitals by 2030.
Bouqdib doesn’t hesitate to highlight his coffees. "All our coffees are 100% arabica, with that always very smooth aftertaste," which can be served with vanilla cream and coffee jelly, he assures. These coffees come from numerous terroirs located in all corners of the world. The brand has various tasting areas, a counter for homemade pastries, another for "smelling and discovering our coffees," sourced from 35 producing countries from Yemen to Hawaii, such as Java Blue from Indonesia or the Mexican coffee "El Flamingo." All these coffees are available as beans or ground. It costs about ten euros for approximately 3 cups.
