Morocco Reclaims 40 Hectares from Royal Advisor for Unfulfilled Hotel Project

Royal advisor Yassir Zenagui has just lost his 40-hectare plot of land. The regional directorate of state property in Rabat has taken back the domain from him for not having respected his commitment to use the entire area to build a hotel and tourism project.
The regional directorate of state property has withdrawn the domain from the royal advisor who has only used eight hectares out of the 40 to build the Ritz-Carlton hotel, and reserved the remaining 32 hectares for the development of a green space.
In doing so, Yassir Zenagui did not comply with the specifications according to which "the entire area" of the domain was to be dedicated to the construction of the hotel project, reports Alyaoum24.com.
The hotel was supposed to open in 2018, but the inauguration was postponed to 2020 and then to early 2022. It has ultimately not taken place due to the legal proceedings initiated by the state property directorate to recover the entire domain, including the hotel.
