Morocco Receives Equipment to Begin Local Sinopharm Vaccine Production

A cargo of equipment for the installation of the local Sinopharm vaccine production plant was received on Friday by the Moroccan authorities.
This delivery includes, among other things, all the equipment and supplies used in the Fill and Finish process, that is to say the filling of the vaccine into vials and syringes, the vaccine liquid, as well as packaging supplies, according to sources cited by L’Opinion.
The arrival of this equipment testifies to Sinopharm’s commitment to enabling Morocco to produce the vaccines locally, the same source points out.
Also, it is recalled that this partnership was the subject of an agreement signed between the Kingdom and China as well as the one signed between the Ministry of Health and the Moroccan pharmaceutical laboratory, adding that after this stage of delivery of the equipment, the mass production of the Chinese vaccine should start, as planned, as early as next December, with a monthly capacity of five million doses.
