Morocco to Receive New AstraZeneca Vaccine Shipment from India

Morocco will receive new batches of the AstraZeneca vaccine this Thursday, February 11th. A Royal Air Maroc (RAM) flight, connecting Mumbai and Casablanca, is expected to land just before 1:30 pm.
After the first doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine were received on January 22nd, flight AT3093, operated by a Boeing Dreamliner 787-9, is expected to deliver new batches of the vaccine manufactured under license in India. For now, no details have been provided on the quantity. The kingdom is expected to receive a portion of the 24 million doses promised to 25 countries by India, including Morocco.
The Dreamliner is currently heading towards Oujda according to data provided by the FlightRadar app. The landing at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca is therefore imminent.
Yesterday, Wednesday, February 10th, at 6 pm, 746,116 people had already been vaccinated in Morocco since the start of the national vaccination campaign, launched on January 28th.
