Morocco Recalls U23 Players as CHAN 2023 Participation Hopes Revive

Released on Tuesday, January 10, the players of the Moroccan under-23 national team were recalled by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) to resume their preparation camp at the Mohammed VI Football Complex.
Have Morocco and Algeria managed to reach an agreement? The recall of the players of the Moroccan U23 national team by the FRMF for their preparation camp in preparation for the CHAN 2023 is a sign that Morocco’s request is about to be accepted. According to Le360, the CAF would have required Algeria to give a favorable response to Morocco’s request, which is in accordance with the regulations in force.
The Moroccan delegation was supposed to fly on Tuesday to Algeria, which is hosting the CHAN from January 13 to February 4, 2023. But without a response from Algeria accepting to open its airspace to the local players’ plane, nothing can be done. The answer is still pending. "For the moment, no decision has been made by the Federation regarding a possible boycott of the CHAN. The reaction will be made in light of Algeria’s response," said a source within the FRMF.
