Morocco Reaffirms Support for Palestinian Rights, Rejects Changes to Jerusalem’s Status

Morocco’s position on Palestine remains unchanged. The only solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is to guarantee the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
"All attempts to undermine the status of Jerusalem are unacceptable." This is how Saâd Eddine El Othmani, Head of Government, expressed himself during a meeting with the elected members of his ruling party, the Party of Justice and Development (PJD), in Agadir.
The number 1 of the Government declared that Morocco had always supported the Palestinian people. In letters and statements from King Mohammed VI, Moroccan diplomacy and politicians, Morocco has officially "expressed its rejection of the deal of the century, once and for all," he said.
For Morocco, Al-Quds is a red line, hammered El Othmani. He supported that the King could not accept a compromise on this subject.
In this sense, King Mohammed VI has addressed correspondence to US President Donald Trump and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, where he warned them against the relocation of the US Embassy to Jerusalem.
These positions of Morocco attract the sympathy of Palestine. El Othmani hinted that he met, on Saturday, September 28, the Palestinian Ambassador to Morocco, who expressed his deep gratitude for the King’s support in his messages to the United Nations General Assembly.
