Morocco Ranks Third Among Arab Nations for US Immigrant Visas in 2022

Data provided by the U.S. State Department indicates that Morocco is among the three Arab countries that received the most visas for its citizens in 2022.
The annual report published by the U.S. State Department for 2022 specifies that the total number of immigrant visas for the United States is 493,000. With 5,200 visas in 2022, Egypt tops the ranking of Arab countries that received the most immigrant visas. It is followed by Yemen with just under 5,200. Morocco completes the top 3 with 4,000 visas. Iraq is in seventh place with 2,118 visas.
Immigrant visas allow foreign nationals to immigrate to the United States to live and work there without the restrictions associated with non-immigrant visas. They are granted on the basis of family ties, employment, asylum or selection under the diversity immigration program.
