Morocco Ranks Second in African Opinion Leaders’ Favorite Countries Survey

Morocco ranks second on the list of favorite countries of opinion leaders behind South Africa. This is indicated on Friday, February 7, 2020 in Paris, by Africaleads 2019-2020, the first barometer of opinion leaders in Africa.
The French Council of Investors in Africa (CIAN) is the initiator of this barometer carried out by the Immar Research & Consultancy Institute, the French specialist in media and marketing studies in sub-Saharan Africa and North Africa.
The institute conducted the survey, between November 2019 and early January 2020, among 2,423 opinion leaders from twelve African countries representing 56% of the continent’s population. Morocco occupies second place, with 29% of the responses from African opinion leaders, ahead of Rwanda (25% of responses), and behind South Africa (37% of responses).
The barometer also reveals that in Francophone Africa, Morocco is still very active on the economic diplomacy front. The kingdom has also outpaced South Africa with 38% positive image against 37%.
