Transparency Report Reveals Stagnant Anti-Corruption Efforts in Morocco's Defense Sector

The results of the surveys carried out by Transparency Maroc took into account three major indicators, including the corruption perception index, the global corruption barometer in Africa and the MENA region, as well as the transparency barometer in the defense sector in Morocco in 2019.

According to the transparency barometer in the defense sector, the budget allocated to defense represents $3.69 billion, or 3.1% of GDP, and its army has a workforce of 246,000 military personnel.
