Morocco Ranks 3rd Globally in Foreign Direct Investment, IMF Report Shows

Morocco is one of the countries that receives the most foreign direct investments (FDI) in the world, ranking third in a ranking dominated by Qatar and India, according to the IMF.
In a report on FDI for the year 2023 published by Times, the kingdom is cited among the most attractive countries worldwide. This is a document that takes into account data from the 50 main FDI destinations in the world, provided by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Foreign Investment Monitor.
According to the ranking, Morocco occupies the third place worldwide, benefiting from a strong investment dynamic. According to the IMF, the country’s GDP will increase by 3.1% in 2023 and inflation by 4.1%. Several investments will be devoted to renewable energies, it is specified.
Moreover, this ranking of the best global destinations for FDI is dominated by Qatar, due to the strong economic and investment dynamics it is benefiting from until 2023, according to the "fDi Intelligence" watchlist, followed by India. According to IMF forecasts, the Middle East and Central Asia will record growth of 3.6% in 2023 compared to 3.7% for sub-Saharan Africa.
