Morocco Ranks 32nd in Global Reputation Study, Outperforms BRICS and Arab Nations

Morocco enjoys a good reputation among the G7 countries + Russia, according to the report on the "reputation of Morocco in the world" published on the website of the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES).
Morocco has an image "better than that of South Korea, Vietnam, Chile and the BRICS countries and exceeds the external reputation of Turkey and all Arab and African countries," this study conducted by IRES in partnership with the international firm specialized in the field of National Branding, "Reputation Lab" shows.
Conducted since 2015, the eighth edition of this study, which each year examines the reputation enjoyed by Morocco among the G7 countries + Russia, ranks the kingdom 32nd out of 72 countries evaluated. In eight years of study, Morocco has always found itself in a good position with a reputation on par with that of the United States and Indonesia. The criteria taken into account are, among others, the "level of development", the "institutional quality" and "ethics and responsibility".
For IRES, Morocco has gradually improved its image, going from a "weak" level in 2015 (44.4 points) to a "moderate" level in 2022 (48.6 points). The country has obtained very good scores in Australia, Egypt, France and China. On the other hand, "it is in South Korea, Sweden and especially in Spain that the perception of Morocco records the weakest scores," it is pointed out in the conclusions of this study.
