Morocco Ranks 30th Globally in COVID-19 Cases, 2nd in Africa

Morocco is the 30th country in the world and the 2nd in Africa to have the most Covid-19 contamination cases.
According to the biweekly report by the Ministry of Health, the kingdom has recorded 156,946 confirmed cases. In terms of the number of deaths, Morocco is ranked 36th worldwide and 3rd in Africa, with 2,685 cases.
Regarding the number of tests, the Ministry of Health points out that more than 2.7 million tests have been carried out, placing the country 31st worldwide and 2nd on the African continent. The cumulative incidence rate is 432.2 per 100,000 inhabitants, while the fatality rate is 1.7%, and the recovery rate is 83.8%.
The ministry stressed that faced with multiple cases of contamination, Morocco has extended the state of health emergency until November 10th.
