Morocco Ranks 12th in French Winter Travel Destinations Despite Border Restrictions

Morocco remains the destination of choice for the French. It is in the top 20 of the preferred destinations during this winter vacation and end-of-year holiday period.
The latest data published by travel agencies indicate that Morocco is in 12th place in the ranking with an average stay of 7 days. The borders of the kingdom are still closed, but tourists with a hotel reservation are allowed to go there.
In addition to Morocco, the other Maghreb destination most in demand by the French is Tunisia. With an average stay of 8 days, it ranks 8th, thus overtaking Morocco. It owes this position to the opening of its borders and the easing of restrictions for tourists arriving on organized trips.
We also note the absence of Algeria from this ranking. The country is limited to special repatriation flights exclusively open to Algerians stranded abroad.
