Morocco’s Rail Market Boosts Vossloh Sales as Revenue Falls Elsewhere

Morocco is among the markets cushioning Vossloh’s sales declines. In its results for the period ending September 30, 2026, the German group reported an increase in its commercial activity in the Kingdom. Together with Australia, this growth almost offsets declines recorded in other regions.

The figures concern the “Customized Modules” division, which supplies, among other things, switches and track equipment. Its global revenue reached 423.9 million euros in the first nine months, compared with 427.1 million euros a year earlier. The 423.9 million euros covers all its markets: Vossloh does not disclose the amount generated in Morocco alone.

This momentum was already evident in the first half of the year. In July, the company cited Morocco among its growth markets, alongside Sweden, Algeria and Australia. The October 22 update confirms growth in Morocco over a longer period.

A 75-million-euro contract and a presence in Casablanca

This activity is accompanying the expansion of the national rail network. In October 2024, Vossloh announced an order worth around 75 million euros from ONCF: nearly 50 million euros for switches and 25 million euros for rail fastening systems for the Casablanca–Marrakech high-speed line. Deliveries are scheduled through 2028.

The group has also strengthened its presence in Morocco. Since July 2026, Vossloh Services France and Portugal’s Futrifer have established “Vossloh Futrifer Services Maroc”, a joint venture based in Casablanca. It plans to carry out maintenance on tracks and switches for ONCF and the urban networks of Casablanca and Rabat.

The sales increase has come alongside a decline in the division’s operating profit, from 42.8 million euros to 28.7 million euros. In Casablanca, the new company plans to recruit and train Moroccan employees starting in 2027.
