Germany approved €19.27 million in military export licences to Morocco in 2025
Detection, identification and target-tracking equipment dominated the military exports Germany authorised for Morocco in 2025. Berlin granted 26 individual licences worth a total of €19.27 million.

More than half of that amount covered devices used to locate and identify targets, as well as components for surveillance and tracking systems. The figures appear in German government records sent to the Bundestag, The Objective reported on October 2.

Parts for armoured vehicles were the other major category, accounting for 30.9% of the authorised amount. The licences therefore also cover components intended for land equipment.
These figures refer to authorisations granted to German companies to export to Morocco. They are not a tally of completed deliveries.
26 licences granted in one year
In the first half of 2025, Berlin had already approved 14 transactions worth €8.47 million. A further 12 licences brought the total up during the second half of the year.
The Morocco file also includes nine collective licences. This mechanism can cover several shipments under a single framework, particularly for spare parts or maintenance work, without requiring individual authorisation for each shipment.

For each application, the German government examines the equipment, its recipient and its intended use. Decisions are governed by German legislation, European rules and the Arms Trade Treaty.
